Yes, I wonder what kinds of community and collaboration functionalities would be proper on the university web site? I am almost ready to accept the top-down information channel function of the entry page, but there could of course be many ways in which the site could contribute from member activity. The borderline of official university vs. community would then become an issue. Also responsibility of content supposedly might be tricky.
They improved usability a little, but compared by other university websites like ttu.ee and ut.ee, it's not very bad at all:) I really hope tlu.ee is going to be a pioner and goes web 2.0 earlier than others.
I would say that the main site of TLU might look like better than TU, but from functionality it is still way behind. All the student related parts that should be really easy to access and get information are kind of hidden. TLU has not been able to integrate information into one page. Althought this page looks better than before

But how much was IMKE (and the Informaatika Instituut) engaged in the planning of the new site?
